Step 1
Take a piece of string and hold it against a measuring tape.
Measure in inches.
Step 2
Trim the string at the marked point.
Step 3
Drape the cut string around your neck to see where that length would sit.
Tip: A pendant will hang lower and add to the total length.
Step 4
Repeat the process for different lengths.
Try using several strings together to preview how layered necklaces will look.
